FAQ

Side panel is blank?

Go to chrome://extensions or edge://extensions, refresh Practicue, close the panel and open it again.

Nothing happens when I click?

Sign in with Google if Managed LLM is selected. Or open Settings and set your own Base URL / model / API key.

Do I need to sign in or pay?

Sign in with Google for free practice runs (gift quota). VIP is optional for more capacity. Your own API key also works in Settings.

Will it auto-submit?

No. It stops when the quiz is done unless you explicitly ask it to submit.

This manual is the how-to for how to use Practicue: install the quiz solver Chrome extension, pick auto-fill or panel answers, and set a model. For scenes see Canvas quiz solver, Google Forms autofill, and auto fill quiz answers.

Install Practicue in Chrome or Edge

The Chrome Web Store listing is not live yet. Until it is, the supported path is load unpacked. Download the zip from the install section, unzip it to a folder you will not delete, then:

  1. Open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions.
  2. Turn on Developer mode.
  3. Click Load unpacked and select that folder.
  4. Pin the Practicue icon so the side panel is one click away.

Reload the extension if the panel is blank. Close the panel and open it again after a reload. Other Chromium browsers can try the same zip; they are not first-class tested.

First run on a practice quiz

Open a product practice quiz or an internal training assessment — a page you are allowed to use. Click the toolbar icon. If you enabled the floating ball, you can also open the panel from the bottom-right bubble. Choose a mode, then a shortcut. Watch the first item before you walk away from the keyboard.

Fill model settings when you are done touring the default endpoint. Official use should be your key. Wrong Base URL is the usual reason “nothing happens.”

How to use Practicue day to day

Keep one browser profile for training drills if your company IT is picky about unpacked extensions. Keep the unzipped folder on disk; Chrome reads it every launch. When you download a newer zip, replace the folder contents and click Reload on the extensions page.

If auto-fill starts mis-clicking after a site redesign, switch to panel answers for that vendor. You do not need a different extension. The quiz solver Chrome extension already has both modes.

Account and quota

Managed LLM practice runs require Google Sign-In. New accounts get a free-run gift; when it runs out, upgrade to VIP or switch the side-panel model settings to your own API key. Details sit in the terms.

Troubleshooting

Blank panel: reload the extension, then the tab. Clicks miss: the site redesigned class names — use panel answers. Model errors: check Base URL trailing slashes and whether the key has quota. Panel on the wrong tab: the helper is per-tab; open it from the quiz tab, not from a docs tab. Zip “does nothing” after an OS move: Chrome still points at the old folder; Load unpacked again.

How to use Practicue — FAQ

How do I install Practicue without the Chrome Web Store?

Download the zip from the homepage, unzip it, open chrome://extensions or edge://extensions, enable Developer mode, and choose Load unpacked.

Auto-fill or panel answers — which should I start with?

Start with panel answers on a short practice quiz so you can read the output. Switch to auto-fill once you trust the model on that site.

Where do I put the API key?

Open the gear in the side panel. Base URL, model, and API key stay in your browser. We do not upload the key.

Do I need to sign in or pay?

Sign in with Google for free practice runs (one-time gift). VIP is optional later for more capacity. You can also use your own API key in settings.
